It is frightening to know that someone who seems healthy collapse suddenly during or after exercise. This is often due to underlying heart disease or hereditary defects.
Generally, people over the age of 40 have an increased risk of coronary heart disease, therefore, sudden death during exercise or after exercise is usually related to sudden heart attack. And for people under the age of 40, it is mostly due to hereditary heart problems.
In the following interview with Dr Jeremy Chow on 《狮城有约》, 《生活小学堂》, he shares more details on the sign and symptoms as well as abnormalities that one may experience and should be aware of. He also discussed whether it is safe to exercise after recovering from coronary disease.
